Australia take on Pakistan in a one-off T20

After the breathtaking action of franchise cricket its time for some international Twenty20. Today Australia take on Pakistan in a one-off Twenty20 match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. As we see in the squads it is clear that Australia have a fairly new look team where most of the players like Cameron Boyce, Sean Abbott, Kane Richardson, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Marsh are not regular Internationals. Even the skipper Aaron Finch is leading the Australian side for the first time.

Pakistan on the other hand should enter the game as favorites with lot of experienced Twenty20 specialists like captain Shahid Afridi, Umar Akmal, Sohail Tanvir etc. Mohammed Hafeez's injury would be huge setback for Pakistan. On a positive note Saad Nasim has got a chance in the International circuit for his good performances for the Lahore Lions in the Champions League T20. Hope that he grabs the opportunity with both hands. He is a good work horse as he can get his team out of trouble on a given day showing great resilience.

It will take time for both teams to gel in as a unit as they have provided very little time to adjust to the conditions as some players were busy with their franchise duties. Speaking of the conditions at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium the records show that there have always been low scoring games at this ground and results have inclined towards the team batting first on most occasions. I think the captains should look the bat first after winning the toss.

Its not gonna be easy for both the teams as both are quality sides but Pakistan have an upper hand in this encounter with the inexperience in their line-up. Having said that, this is T20 fellas! Anything can happen. Match begins at 9:30 PM IST. Wait and watch.
